Once you left, the house was calm again.
When does a house become more than just a home? I absorb a newfound freedom, relishing the simpleness of just existing. I have never experienced a quiet that reverberates so loud. Time passes and the walls watch as I make my bed and fill this new space. When the quiet comes knocking again, the walls of my home, our home, will sing the story of gentle strength and perseverance, quiet moments and warm embraces. It has become my breath to observe and shape the creation of this unfolding memoir. A cathartic meditation and contemplative reflection on all that has changed and all that remains.
